so guys everyone knows that Final Cut Express HD was released a couple weeks ago. I was thinking that it would be a great gristmas present idea. I am looking for a way to escape thevery basic iMovie HD 06 and the just plain rediculous iMovie 08 (which is hardly usable). For those of you that have it or used the previous versions. it a good upgrade, am i bitting off more than i can chew, it there some other step up from the iMovies that i need to master first?
Let me know guys.

I have FCE 3.5, and I definitely think it is a BIG change from iMovie. You'll find FCE difficult to use at first, since it has many more features than iMovie and the interface is VERY different, but within a month you'll get to know most of the features, shortcuts, etc.

And I'll say that if you are already saying iMovie is limited you'll find FCE to be a great product.:)
