Final Cut Express Importing AVCHD Files from Windows Made DVD

I'm waiting to get my new MBP, but my question is the following.

I have a Panasonic SD5 camcorder.
I will use Final Cut Express to edit the AVCHD files, but right now I'm storing them on DVDs on with my windows machine until I get my new Mac.

Will FCE will be able to import the AVCHD files from the DVDs tha I created with my windows PC?
