Final Cut Express performance on X3100 Macbook

I have an early '08 2.1GHz Macbook. I'm about to buy Final Cut Express 4, but I'm wondering how well it'll perform on there, since I'll be editing a good bit of HD footage.

Hi, i have the same laptop as you early 08 2.1Ghz, ive whacked mine up to 4GB ram and it works final cut express.

I am now even using final cut pro studio 3 (the latest one out) and editing ADCHD 1080p video with and it works fine. The odd drop out on battery power, but mains power is ok.

It does take a bit of time to export a video though (if in HD), but that can be left overnight if its a long file.

At this point I'm trying to sell mine so I can upgrade to one with a Nvidia 9400M for gaming, but if I can't, at least I know it'll run Final Cut Express all right.
