Hey guys, this is my first time posting a question so I apologize if i'm leaving out key information and/or rambling.

Short version:

I got a gig turning a powerpoint presentation into a movie format for commercial use. The ppt format was Image of a baby with text in Meta Light font, Image of a solid background with text in Meta Light font. I saved the high quality slides as jpegs and imported them into Final Cut Express. When I added them to the timeline (and subsequently exported them as a .mov), the quality of the text had degraded to the point of pixellation, losing all sharpness and clarity.

I didn't change anything, i just wanted to use the jpegs as 3-4 second clips, and the quality dropped, even in the viewer.

Does anyone know what would cause the text to appear so fuzzy? How can i fix it so that the jpeg images retain their quality?

(I noticed the original jpeg size was 306 x 191, but the movie was 800 x 512. That would lower the quality of course, but when i tried a larger version jpeg 3379 × 2160, it still converted it to the size of the movie while making it just as fuzzy)
