I was try to find out if Final Cut Express can put one video over another. For example when you watch the evening news and you see the reporter and then they roll a video clip in the upper right hand corrner. Or if I have for vifeos and I want to tile then and play them all at the same time.

I thought that Apple had a demo video and it said that it could do it, but I could be wrong.

Also, I noticed that if you add Final Cut Express to a new system it is only 99 but if you buy it you pay 299. Can my friend who is going to get am iMac buy it with his system and give it to me?

yes, you can do video overlays (which is what they are called, i think). and yes, your friend can give it to you as long as he doesn't leave it installed on his machine (to keep everything within the eula).
