Final Cut Extreme

What ever happened to Final Cut Extreme? It probably won't be for another couple of years until we see Final Cut Studio 3, but does anybody predict that we'll see FCEx then? I've heard things like FCP 6 was FCPEx, but I don't know if I believe them...

Hmmmm, I've never heard of any rumors of final cut extreme... Possibly just before my time.
