Final Cut Pro 5 Stops Responding on MAC PRO

I'm using FINAL CUT PRO 5 on MAC PRO two 3.2GHz-Core Intel Xeon (8-core) and when I first installed it a few weeks ago it worked fined, I worked for several days with no problem at all but recently FINAL CUT stops respongig after I play around a little with some media files (even DV). I tried several things but still it doesn't work and I have a lot of this to edit.

Any advise? please.
