Alright, I want to obviously spend as little as possible on a mac, but I want to do whatever I need to do while editing using final cut pro 5 (lots of filters, etc.) without worrying. Sure, it doesn't need to be the smoothest/fastest running application, but it has to DO what I want it to do without screwing up the edited video or just not running. So obviously I need to sell my Macbook. I'm thinking about either getting an iMac or Macbook Pro, the latter one refurbished or used b/c I really only have about $12-1400 for a computer after selling the Macbook.

So is the X1600 128 mb going to do well enough, or should I shell out for the 256 mb version, or is that not even going to cut it?

Please help
Thanks
