Final Cut Pro and iSight

I was wondering if it is possible to use Final Cut Pro and iSight with my MacBook Pro

I'm curious, why not just use iMovie?

It does seem kind of a strange combination... FCP and an iSight? I don't know that FCP is designed for dealing with a live source. You could at the very least record iSight segments in iMovie HD and then migrate them to FCP. Although the whole why question still arises.

ummm...i just want some of the effects that FCP has to offer, i purchased an old copy fairly cheap..
