Final Cut Pro: Audio skipping

I put an MP3 track in but it seems to be skipping here and there. How do I fix this?
 
IIRC, mp3s aren't fully supported in fcp. Use an aif instead if you have it, or convert the mp3 to an aif (which will lose a little quality, but it's tolerable for most projects) with audacity or somesuch.
