final cut pro/ final cut express question

hi,

can either final cut pro or final cut express, split a movie into smaller movies?

and how? also can the 2 programs join movies?

like if a movie was cut ot fit on cd-rs can it re-join the to movie files into one?

Yep, in fact iMovie can do this. Simply import both clips and drag them to the timeline to join them. Making seperate movies is just as easy, drag you clip to the timeline and use the razor tool to split the clip.
