Final Cut Pro Ver 10.8.1 not showing for Download?

Hi Guys,

when I recently purchased M2 Mac mini the Final Cut pro version that came in tt was 10.7.1. I’m still using the trial version now. I believe Apple has released version 10.8.1 of the final cut pro, but that is not showing as an update to me, so I was wondering can I uninstall this current version which is 10.7.1 from my Mac mini and then download version 10.8.1, would this be possible because the FCP that came with me looks like came as factory installed ?

No update will show up for an app that you didn't even buy through the App Store to begin with. You don't get the trial version through the App Store, therefore it has nothing to do with the trial version. Whether there is already a trial version of 10.8.x available I don't know.

To my knowledge, FCP should not be installed on a new Mac.
