Final cut pro vs. Final cut Express

I have been running final cut pro 5 for almost 2 years and I am wondering what the differences between FCP and FCE are. If you want to do HD why would you go with FCP rather than FCE or vis-versa. Thanks,

i would think express has limited features compared to pro. one is professional and the other is prosumer.

Do you think file formats are thinned down a little in FCE?
