Final cut pro wont export full video?

in final cut pro when i try to export a full quality video , export , quicktime movie , it will only export about 4 seconds of the sequence but when i use quicktime conversion it will export the entire video , however from what i understand this compresses it and it is not a full quality video . this has been very frustrating for me and i have no idea why export , quicktime movie will only export a couple seconds of full quality video

Send the file to Compressor and choose/ create an export format you want.

May it be due to having set in and out markers or creating a selection in the timeline?

Try with a new sequence, if it will export the entire video, then it's something with your sequence that quite isn't right

nothings selected if i do using conversion it does the whole thing but when i choose quicktime movie it will only do a couple seconds
