Final Cut Pro X exporting

This may be a horribly dumb question, but do I need to be connected to the Internet to export as a .mov in FCP X? I'm trying to export my movie and the export option is grayed out under the commands tab. I've tried selecting in/out points and countless other tricks, so it seems that Internet may be the only thing I'm missing?

Have you tried the SHARE menu with its options yet?
And what is the "commands tab"?
