Final Cut Pro X keeps crashing.....

I'm posting here because not sure if the issue is software or hardware.

I have a MacBook Pro

Processor is 2.7 GHz Core i7

Memory is 4 gb 1333 MHz DDR3

Is this computer simply not qualified to host Final Cut Pro X? And maybe I need to purchase a more expensive computer?
 
We need more information about the crash. Does something pop up on the screen like an error message? Does it freeze completely and you have to restart? What OS are you running?
