I am unable to view/import any of my new photos that are in the new "Photos" App into Final Cut Pro X. When I go to Window>Media Browser>Photos it's only showing photos from the original iPhoto App.

I haven't used my copy of Final Cut Pro X in awhile but I just got done updating to the latest version. Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!

Ok, I went to test this. I have fully updated FCP X, Photos, and OS X.

I go to FCP, click the camera Icon, and Photos was already selected, and I could browse by moments etc just like I would expect.

I could also drag images directly to the timeline.

Sorry for the unhelpful answer, but I am not having the problem and cannot seem to create it.

First of all check that your Pictures folder (i.e.. /user/Pictures) contains both your 'iPhoto library' & your 'Photos Library'

If it does, you could try this.....

1) delete your FCPX preferences at /library/Preferences/com.apple.FinalCut.plist

2) delete you FCPX cache at /library/Caches/com.apple.FinalCut

3) temporarily delete the iPhoto library (put in trash, but DO NOT EMPTY IT)

4) see if your issue is sorted?
