I work for a city government and we run mainly on Macs. We want to use Final Cut Pro X on our new Mac Mini, but we need to purchase without sales tax. How do I purchase it tax exempted ? Do we need to contact Apple in some way?

I appreciate any help!

Your best bet is to to contact your purchasing department. They may have a way to handle this.

The Answer

You have to purchase the item from the App Store with tax, then you forward the receipt email to your Apple rep to have the tax refunded. They will mail you a check for that amount.
