Hi everyone. I just migrated from iMovie '11 to Final Cut Pro X.

In iMovie, when I move a clip from the imported files to the timeline, there is a strip highlighting that I have used it in the timeline. How do you turn this feature on in Final Cut? I drag them on the timeline but there is no indication that I've used the clip.

Thanks for your help. :)

The only solution is to mark the clip as favorite with F before inserting; otherwise if you have inserted, select the clip in the project, press SHIFT+F
to show original clip and then F to mark as favorite.

sekmo did a great job explaining how to mark a used clip or portion of clip from the browser window. I have been wanting an update from Apple that would show this automatically. I would suggest giving your Feedback to the Final Cut Pro X team as well.

I am still not happy with FCPX, being a user of FCP since 2001. I view FCPX as iMovie Pro, but I am sure you are loving it as an upgrade from iMovie.
