I can't seem to find a voice over feature in Final Cut Pro X...I've searched it but can't find it.

Any help? I know you could do that in Version 7, but not this one.

Window-Audio Recording

Hi,

you´ll find it in the menue - window - audio recording (not shure about the english name becouse i have a german edition)

Is it me or does the voice over feature in FCPX suck?

Voice overs in iMovie are way better!

Why:

1. 3 second count in
2. Can mute the audio of the project while you record your voice over
3. You can adjust your levels before you record, instead of after
4. It doesn't need special equipment to interface with your mic. FCPX causes a lot of mic hum if you just plug in straight to the line in.

I think the FCPX team needs to go back to the drawing board on the voice over capabilities of the software.
