I just edit a video with Final Cut Pro X and save it into 1080p. That's only nine mins. But it's capacity is 8GB :eek:
Is that normal ??:confused:
 
Well, it depends on the quality settings you can customise. You can choose different compression rates - also on sound. If you choose Wave instead of mp3 it's a lot bigger.

Plus it's uncompressed. You'd need to run Compressor on it to bring it down to a more acceptable size once you are done. If the intended destination is Youtube, make sure your frame rate is set to 30fps or lower, otherwise Youtube's encoders will cause the audio and video to step out of sync.
