looks like a damn good deal - especially if you're an Edu customer - the discount is still £200 - meaning you could get a MacBook Pro with FCS for the same price as a retail MBP!

The promo's been in the USA/Canada for a week or so, good to see it's made it over to the UK. I commented at the time that the end date of the promo (June 26th), would suggest that the next version of Studio wouldn't be available until after that - even if it were announced at NAB this month.

yeah, it could well be a clearout for FCS6... but whatever, it's one HELLUVA good deal!

For sure yeah.

I'm waiting to see what's announced at NAB, which is also around the time my local reseller should be able to get 5.1. I'll probably just get 5.1, unfortunately I can't really justify getting a new machine just yet - even in one of those 'spend money to save money' offers.
