Final Cut Studio price is up

What happened with the sudden price raise in the new final cut studio? Was the first price of 800$ (CAN) a special price for the first weeks? If I would have known I would have moved much faster!

Anyone tested the new FCS? Is it even worth the price rise?

I really though the price has been near 800$ before and would have raised up to 1200$ just recently... canadian prices.
