Hi everyone, I have never played many PC games but since having my Mac I am leaning to towards gaming on it as I find myself less in front of a TV and console.

I wanted to ask if anyone has manged to play FF8 on the Mac, it is only available for the PC, if so whats the best way around it? Would love to relive the gaming experience and story of FF8 again!

Thanks.

There are a few methods to play Final Fantasy VIII on your mac.

The two easiest ways are to use bootcamp to boot windows on your mac and install the PC version of it. This will obviously require a windows license, but bootcamp is obviously free. You can also use parallels, if you do not want to reboot into a second OS.

My preferred method is to use a Playstation emulator. Copies of FFVIII are very cheap online, and you can make clean iso rips of your discs and use them via emulation. The PSOne emulators for OS X are pretty much on par with their windows versions in terms of speed, the main exception being plugins.
