Hi all,

Well ive winged plenty on here about this problem, have tried every potential solution on offer having scoured apple forums, and having last night reinstalled Lion, my macbook still refuses to connect to open wifi networks.

If theyre secure password protected, no probs. But if i head into my local McDs or coffee house with an unsecured network - noi chance.

Ive aded new locations, reset service orders , all of that. Nothing.

If anyone can offer any new radical suffestions, i really would be grateful as my old macbook as the one that gets thrown in the backpack when im out and about, and i really dont want to start taking the MBP everywhere and trashing it.

Thanks in advance of any suggestions,

Stu:confused:

Try this

Hello,

i have not tried this and I am not experienced enough to try this but I found this post about the same issue that you are having. I put the link to it at the end of this post. It might be worth it if you are ok with working in terminal. I am not so I would not try it but it might work for you. good luck and I hope you get your issue fixed.
