For me too shiny, I LOVE the black on black. But give me the Space Gray aluminum with that matte metal band and I'm in. I HATE anything "shiny" first thing i did when i got my Hummer H3 was got the front chrome grill powered coated matte black along with the H3 emblems.

But thats just my taste......

I'm with you n that!

I think it looks sharp, shiny not being an issue at all considering how many lights are on at the apple store.

Very true. I know its rather bright in the Apple store, forgot about that. I still think the SS space gray looks badass, don't get me wrong. It does look sharp!

Problem I'm having with it, which is reaffirmed by this pic, is that the lack of visible texture and color often makes the black appear like plastic. Cheap shiny plastic. I wear a blackout watch (Citizen Stiletto) now, and have for some time, and it has this effect at times.

In other cases it looks pretty cool.

Hard call here.

ughhh exactly my dilemma that i've posted everywhere about. on one hand, the DLC coating will help against scratches compared to silver ss, on the other hand, the plasticky-ness is off-putting for me.

But are you looking to take pictures of it, or wear it in person. I bet there is a big difference in how it looks. Unfortunately, we don't have the option of knowing before hand.

you sound a lot like me. Bet you hate chrome wheels on cars too? volk e37's in gunmetal! I miss those wheels

Is it really that dark or is it an artifact of exposure/white balance? It looks more graphite in the other real life photos.

All the first hand accounts I've run across also say it looks very black. I think it is not true black, but, very very close. I do think, though, that the contrast levels are a bit high on this photo as not much texture can be seen on the hand brushed band.

Here are mine from earlier this morning

Absolutely, i cringe at ANYTHING chrome lol. Obviously Matte is in, especially if the Lamborghini dealer has matte black wrap options RIGHT from the dealer lol.
