Finally! A nearby Apple Store

I was sitting in math class waiting for the teacher to start teaching. Since this is the last week before our winter break, my teachers are basically not making us work. So, my teacher decides to let us chill for the whole class period.

I overhear the girls in front of me talking. I hear "Apple" in the mix. I turn and listen more carefully. Apparently Apple bought out Fossil's space in our mall, so an Apple store is coming the Mall in Columbia in Maryland! Remembering how small the Fossil store was in the first place, I'm wondering if we're getting stuck with a mini store though. No worries. I finally have an Apple store less than 5 minutes away! (The closest in my area was about 45 minutes away).

The bigwigs at Apple finally heard my cries for an Apple Store here in Columbia, MD! I'll be sure to show up at the grand opening! ;)

Well glad to heat that you have one closer now.

You should not have complained about one being 45 min away though. My closest one is about 2 hours and 30 min.
 
Great news applekid!

Just visited mine in farminton mall in CT yesterday. Was packed with those last minute shoppers (including me!).

Ah, but what better a place to be shopping at than an Apple store (especially if your shopping for yourself). :)

He's got me beat also...but i have been to the Apple store in tokyo. It is really sweet, and my host family had a hard time getting me out of there. I told myself when i went in that i was not going to spend much time in there but my 15-20 min visit turned into about an hour :eek: :p

Apple stores are great!!!!!

Unfortunately, I was shopping for others :(. Didn't have the chance last week, so cramming everything yesterday at the apple store.

Funny how time seems to disapear when in an Apple store.

My visits tend to go from 15 minutes -> 1 hour -> 2 hours -> they give up trying to get me out of the store and offer me a job. ;) :)

Oh and on a side note - is there a way to find out if and when a new Apple store is going to open in an area? I'd like to be one of the many camped out before it opens. I've seen footage from other new store openings and I think it'd be fun to be part of one. :D

Hopefully, someone else was shopping for you at that, or another, Apple store. You are just too kind of an individual Eevee- buying gifts for others at an Apple store. :)

When it comes down to Apple products- tis better to get than to give. ;) :D
 
Until the weekend before Thanksgiving, the closest Apple Store for me was 7 hours away in Las Vegas. Now it's 10-15 minutes away :). Just got back from there a few minutes ago. TONS of people buying iPods, really amazing. I just bought a new car charger for my iPod.
 
I have a big store ~2 hours, and a Mini store ~20 minutes away. The mini stores stink though. :(
