Sorry if this is not allowed please delete!

I am finally joining the ranks of you iPhone users! I have used a iPod Touch for a long time. But today when I leave work I will get my very first iPhone.

I'm leaving the Blackberry far behind me and moving onto an awesome phone.

My work just started doing discounts through Att wireless, part of their deal was that for a limited time we could get iPhones and be completely reimbursed for them! With the discount and free iPhone and rollover minutes it was a no brainer!

If you're getting for free, hopefully you won't put it under a microscope and look for any and every "defect."

A few tips for tonight/this weekend (some are tongue in cheek/homages to other threads)

1) get a case and screen protector
2) Charge it up then run it down and up and down at least twice to recalibrate the battery. I promise you that your first few days will make your device look like it's eating power like skittles. But after a few cycles you will see great performance
3) Don't go swimming with the iPhone - there are water sensors which can get tripped. And even though many will tell you that if you find a hairline scratch on your phone AFTER it's been dunked - you still will most likely not get an exchange
4) Don't let your school girl crush hold the phone between her knees because she might drop it and the back of your iPhone could get some cracks
5) Don't let it fall gently off your nightstand and crack the screen
6) Remember - AT&T does not offer MMS yet
7) The ONLY thing 3.01 does that 3.0 doesn't is fix an SMS security flaw
8) You can cancel your contract with AT&T after 31 days - but be prepared to pay a bunch of fees which add up to the cost of the phone
9) Try not to get bored with the GUI - it's a long time before 4.0 comes out
10) whatever you do - do NOT feed your iphone any apps after midnight or it will multiply. And getting it wet will turn them all into gremlins. Fortunately - daylight kills them all.

Bravo well said my friend:)

Nope, not allowed, but at least you didn't say you had MMS. :)

Sorry didn't realize it wasn't allowed I am just excited (like a little kid on Christmas) Sorry I didn't realize my subject was vague like that...

Thanks. You know. In hindsight - and not to pat myself on the back or anything - but if you read my top 10 - you can avoid almost every thread on MacRumors!

Ya I figure I walk in and get an iPhone for $199 out the door submit my receipts to work and get $199 back on a paycheck it was a complete no brainier.

I'm coming from Verizon and ya Im aware of the issues ATT has from time to time still all that doesn't really matter too much terribly (since it does have wifi) because to me the iPhone is kinda worth some of the headaches.
