Don't know if anyone remembers me... but I had a disk stuck in my Superdrives in a 15 day old 12" PB and Apple wanted me send it in for a repair... but now... I decided I wanted a new one... because it was so new... and that is what I got!!! YAY!!

My second Powerbook in a month... very pleased...

I mean, seriously though... I didn't pay for an ibook to be repaired in the first place... I demanded a replaced!

Up Yours to all the doubters! (i.e iJon!)

Good to see we're not vengeful and smug. Maybe next time you won't be so lucky and you'll need someone like iJon to help you remedy your situation. Let's hope it happens so we can reference this thread directly.

I agree. You just got lucky in terms of replacment vs. repair. Apple usually repairs computers 3 or more times before they even consider replacment, and then only on a case by case basis.

congrats is all i can say :)

not easy

well, all I can say is that Apple certainly don't manke it easy! a total of 13 calls... I ended talking to the supervisor who was quite helpful.

I kinda did it just to see how much they actually care for customer service and they came through with flying colors! And all without me having to contact my solicitor!

I mean, I did have a legit case! anyway. I'm happy now... very happy...

This one doesn't seem to run as hot as the first one... but it is louder...

ah well... can't win them all...
