Just wanted to say I finally purchased a Mac. I already own a slew of Apple's products iphone, a number of ipods, Apple TV and just ordered a refurbished Macbook 2.4GHz (should be here today)
I have read all the guides and how-to's etc. but I am sure I will be having questions and from my experience everyone here has offered great advice and assistance in the past.

Now you can do this: 

For me that was the best part of switching! jking...but really that is cool. Congrats on your purchase!

WTG!!! Congrats! IM sure you will LOVE your Mac! Let us know when ya get it and what ya think after you give it a go!;):D:apple:

Thank you everyone I purchased the White Macbook 2.4GHz from the refurb site with 2GB RAM.
I still have a couple PC's (home built desktop's) and a Compaq Presario laptop. It has only been a day or so I have been using it but am already enjoying a more stable environment, overall very pleased.
There are a few things I will obviously need to retrain myself.
1. Not used to the way OSX minimizes and maximizes windows
2. Finding shared/networked folders on the home network is a different process
3. No "right click mouse button" is new to me as well
4. Delete is equivalent to "backspace" on a PC.
And others, however these are all minor and just due to the lack of experience in the Mac OS environment. I am definitely an
:apple: convert now though.

there is a right click on the mouse its pressure sensitive go to ure system preferences and then go to the keyboard and mouse settings and go to mouse or track pad and there ya go you should get it from there.

option + shift + K

Option+Shift+K brings up an ASCII Apple like so  however Windows machines, and many fonts on Apple machines, will only display a blank box. The forums provide an Apple emoticon that you can just click on and it'll insert it where your text cursor is :D

Congrats on your purchase, you'll not regret it.

Also, easiest way round right-click I find is to use two-finger-second-click or whatever it is Apple calls it. One day Apple is going to have to put a right-click sensor in its notebooks... I mean the Mighty Mouse has one, why can't we?

Yeah, the Macbook can scroll up and down with 2 fingers, it senses it, much easier than scrolling up and down with the scroll bar.

As mentioned, two fingers plus the button will do a right click. If you have a 2 button mouse connected or the mighty mouse, right clicking, if enabled in the mouse properties will get a windows like menu for options. Right clicking is not gone! You can even use a USB laptop mouse, like the ones that MS makes, works fine.

The two finger scrolling is something that I miss when using someone elses Windows laptop.
