So just want to say I finally updated my 13 pro to 26.5 and it’s been pretty smooth sailing. I turned off Liquid Glass and did a few performance tweaks. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is, typing seems better, speed feels the same, but the motions and animations just have something about them, some swagger or something. It’s kinda cool. Battery life has been good despite being one day. I noticed the photos app is slightly different, instead of swiping down to find the categories it’s in the next tab page over, and to scroll through the months and years you have to scroll up and those tabs appear. Just tiny little tweaks. I would say 26.5 feels like 18 with just a tiny bit of tweaks here in there and nothing feels out of place. Good so far. Just wanted to report to anyone who had been on the fence about it. I’m glad I waited till version .5. Seems really polished and I don’t notice any lag at all. I’m just curious if it would be a smart move for an ancient iPad mini 5 though.

Now, can you share with us how you turned off Liquid Glass?
I've been using ios26 since the .0 release and afaik you cannot turn LG off, it doesn't bother me but lots of folks here might be interested
