I've been on High Sierra and was having a lot of network and other issues on my 2014 MBP 15. I went to install Catalina and found that one App that I need wouldn't run on it so I backed off to Mojave. I have 12 years of data on this one App and can't convert it so I will need to keep a macOS system on High Sierra or Mojave for quite some time. I will look for new software to replace the old 32-bit Notes application but that may take me a little while. I will still need the old stuff as it has tax and financial records which I may need to look at in the future.

If this goes well, then I may upgrade my 2015 MBP 15 to Mojave as well.

My workplace is apparently update for Catalina so I could install on that if I didn't have the legacy application to deal with. I would consider Microsoft One-Note if they had a local disk storage option but I don't think that they have that for the Mac version.

Mojave is performing great. I guess that's the advantage of upgrading after a bunch of updates to the major release have come out. It's like I have a new machine.
