Hi all,

My wife has asked me to back up her photos library and I'm noticing at least half of the library is duplicated with different file names (IMG_xxxx vs timestamp). I've tried running various duplicate file apps but they aren't flagging these as duplicates. When I compare the files I can flag the duplication in the Created information.

Is there a way in automator, or even through a Duplicate files app, to flag files via their Created time?

Thanks in advance.

If you compare image folder(s) by 'Contents' in 'Standard' mode with dupeGuru (https://dupeguru.voltaicideas.net), it should give you the desired results without Automator, timestamps and the like.

However, usually one is backing-up files before deleting, even duplicates, especially if dupe finder apps don´t consider the files as duplicates...
