Hi guys,

I have a file with a few thousand individual codes in text format and I'm wondering if there's any way I can find duplicate codes without having to copy each one and use the find command?

It depends on the format of the data. Are all the codes on separate lines, and do the codes appear in the same position in each line? If so, you could copy the file to Excel (I assume Numbers could do the same), filter out the duplicates, then copy the unique lines and paste them back into TextEdit.

It's just plain text.

All the codes appear on the same place on separate lines. I think the Excel method would work best. :) Thanks.
