Find My Friends app now live.

It is not available directly on the App Store, but if you go on your iPhone and go on icloud.com, press install Find My Friends and it will direct you to install it. Just done it now.

Installed it. This is the most anti-social looking social app ever. No friend discovery through the contact list and a heavy slab of legal jargon. Totally opposite of apps like foursquare and gowalla. Does Apple not understand social?

They might not, but I do think they understand stalking laws that this app would violate should they open it up with out any of the legal jargon. You know...due to the active tracking of people.

It's called "Find My Friends". Not, annoy everyone with a shout every time I move 500 feet and let me see where people frequent so I can be cool like them.

It's Apple and it's simple. Find my Friends, ******* find your friends, who would have thought!

I haven't been able to get this to install. Have the ios 5 GM installed but when I click on one of the above links it just goes to a white safari screen.

I think it might be due to the fact that I have icloud off, but I am unsure of which email address to use for icloud. I don't know if I should use my MobileMe address or the address I use for my purchases in itunes.
