Find My Friends not matching a contact

I noticed recently that in Find My Friends my wife is not associated with her contact card even thought the email address from friend my friends is in her contact card (if I tap on Contact it just shows a card with only her email address). Is there a way to associate it with her contact card so it pulls in her name after adding her to find my friends?
