Would Find my iPad work on wifi only model as it doesn't have the assisted GPS facility? I would think not but would like to have some confirmation.
P.S. Since many trolls have joined this site, I apologize in advance if a similar thread has been created... in that case please link to it.

If there is a wi if connection, find my ipad works fine on the wi fi only model. I have it working on mine. Outside of a wi fi connection, out of luck.

Hmm okay. Thanks for replying. Let us hope I don't lose it outside on my home then lol.

I am blown away. I just did a find my Ipad with the new app. Mine is a 3G unit so it has the GPS. Not only did it find my Ipad but it located it within just a few feet of its actual location. The satellite view all but showed me sitting my chair.

Cool

Mine says location services not activated. I have checked settings and it says location services ON.! Am I doing something wrong?
