I have an iPhone 4G 5.1 and iPod touch 3G 5.1; find my iPhone installed and updated on both. The only difference, besides the device themselves, is my iphone is running on 3G network and my ipod is running on my mifi. Ok, so I located my iPod on my iPhone; my iPhone on my iPod.

The iPhone shows my iPod device 1/4 block away and my iPod shows my iPhone device in its exact location.

My question is, which device is responsible for the accuracy of the locations? That my iPhone appears in the correct location on the iPod, is this because the iPod is great at locating the device, or the GPS on the iPhone is better, or would both be equal but the wifi is better than 3G (which I highly doubt, but is a variable)?

Thanks!
