Hi everyone!

First of all, I'm sorry if I am posting this on the wrong place.

My Macbook got stolen last weekend, and I have logged in to Find My iPhone and requested a remote lock and a remote sound reproduction. Both happened the next day, and I went straight to a browser to check where it was located. It shows as offline, with no last location. Why is this happening? I thought immediately as someone turned it on and connected it to the internet it would show the last location!

Thank you!

The only thing that I can think of is that for whatever reason the Mac was online but did not have location data to send, like the thief was using Ethernet instead of Wifi. But on a Macbook, that seems unlikely.

Your signature makes me sad. :(

I have just noticed my signature :'(

But if they haven't connected it to the internet, how did the sounds get reproduced?
