So my wife has misplaced her MacBook Air (early 2014) at home. (Hey, it's small, easy to misplace.)
First thing I did when we got it was turn on "Find My Mac" and enable Power Nap on battery power (one of the selling points of the 13" Air to her was not having to be slaved to a power cord.) Plus, for good measure, enable wake-on-network.
I've tested Find My Mac on it, but only while it was already awake. Now that its time has come for real, I just activated it, and... Nothing.
So I checked the Apple KB, and see that even for Find My Mac, Power Nap doesn't instantly respond, it's the scheduled wake ups. But what has me worried is one line in the KB:
That second part has me worried. What good is "Find My Mac"'s 'Play Sound' feature if it doesn't actually make a sound?!?
Has anyone used Find My Mac on a sleeping Power Nap-enabled notebook? Does it actually work and Apple's note is wrong? Or does it truly not make a sound? (Which makes that option pointless.)

Silence
During Power Nap the lights go out on your computer. System sounds also run silent with no fans (Flash storage Macs only, not including Fusion Drive). When your Mac wakes up, its ready to go.
Note: If you use the Play Sound or Send Message feature of Find My Mac, Power Nap does not make a sound.
