I just noticed that my iTunes media folder contains 141GB of music, however my iTunes library only shows 123GB. I'm guessing when previously deleting music from my library I didn't move them to the trash.

Is there a way/app to locate these files and either a: delete them or b: add them back into my iTunes library?

Cheers.

iTunes> preferences > advanced > check both "Keep iTunes Media folder organized & Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library

iTunes > file > library > organize library > check "consolidate files"

Now they should all be in your library.

I think the discrepancy between the amount iTunes reports and what you find in your \\iTunes\Music folder is normal. I have all of my musics (consolidated as above) in iTunes. iTunes says I have 6.88gb and the folder reports 7.39gb. Some of it is the extra "album" folders but that can't be all of it so it must include meta data and/or other data.

Nonetheless, do the consolidate: you'll be happier having it organized for you rather than pouring though it yourself.
