Hi,
The behavior or moving files across Finder folders is driving me absolutely nuts. Whenever I'm trying to quick-preview a large amount of files in order to manually sort them into folders, Yosemite has come up with this idiotic behavior that it forces the destination folder to open up in this unpredictable "genie way" and usually in such a way that (as I still am not used to this behavior since Yosemite's release!) when I let go of the mouse in order to drop the file to the destination folder, the newly opened destination folder window is no longer in the same place, so I keep dropping files into who knows where. In some circumstances, moving files from place A to B is completely impossible because of this because even the computer gets confused of where it should focus its "helpful and handy automatic genie effect focus".
And if I'm not doing this between two separately open windows (original destination versus future destination), but in one window only, it always takes you to the final destination folder of the files so you have to always navigate back to where you were. Is there any setting or workaround how to disable this or make file categorization POSSIBLE like it used to be? I'm using column view because I need to see the hierarchy of how files are located.
