When I choose a view mode in Finder on my Macbook, how do I scroll down the window without the window automatically scrolling up to the top of the page? Even if I choose sort by none, it seems to do this.

I have never experienced this, on three different Macs using 7.1, 8.1, 9.1, 9.2, 10.5

I assume your OS is newer than Leopard, but it still seems that this should not be happening. I'd dump the finder plist file and restart. See if that makes any difference.

Can you tell us exactly what OS version and Mac model you have, and a bit more detail about the problem?
What are you trying to achieve; what do you do; what happens; and what doesn't happen that you want/expect?
