Finder columns don't fit to filename length in Column View in many sorting options?

Does anyone observe that when in Column View sorting by Kind, Applicaiton, Date Last Opened, Date Added, Date Modified, Date Created, Size, and Label, double clicking the column resize handle won't make the column width resize to fit the filenames?? When using sorting by Name or None, double clicking the column resize handle still resizes the columns to fit the filenames...but not in sorting options with the new white 'category' divider .......
