I just moved a file from a digicam to the desktop.. and Finder flipped out and i guess is "sort" of working... But not really all that well... I cannot open Terminal and my HD icon seems to be missing.. Has anyone had this happend? Is there a fix or do i have to do the good ol' Microsoft Windows Fix. (Reboot) ?

You can relaunch Finder. There are several ways to do so. The way I usually do it is to hold option and right (or control) click on the Finder icon on the Dock. The bottom option will be Relaunch. Relaunch is the equivalent of Force Quitting the Finder, so you can also do it from the Force Quit box (Apple menu->Force Quit... or cmd-option-esc.

Finder is actually just another Application, albeit an important and in some ways special one. It is actually possible to quit the Finder all together and continue using OS X.
