Finder crashes on snow leopard

My finder crashes every time i go to applications, also when i go to application thru stacks. what going on? i did a restart but nothing helped.

Repair permissions; that might help.
Many strange behaviours (of your mac) can be cured by this.

Having the same crazy issues here as well. I think it's all finder related. Have repaired the permissions, we''' see if it works. [fingers crossed]

yeah i did the same, i guess it fixed it for now, but i already got a lock up on the whole system and i have to shut down with the power button. also safari crashed a few times.. i never had these problems before..

Also reset the SMC. I had an issue with Finder and that fixed it.

sorry but permissions and resetting SMC would probably not help (but dont quote me on that ). try deleting Finder's plist in User/Library/Preferences or figure out if any third party apps could be at fault.
