Hi all,
Has anyone experienced the Finder suddenly creating world readable (0777) directories when using New Folder? shown as "everyone: read and write" in "Get Info". A killall Finder has stopped the behaviour. My umask is 0022, and I was just doing lots of moving to/from samba shares, but not much else.
Put another way, is there a way of changing Finder's umask for a whole session that I might have unwittingly triggered while e.g. changing permissions for one file?
Put yet another way, does anyone else find any directories within their home directory to be unexpectedly world-writeable?
Thanks.
