Is there a way to get finder to re-display the contents of a folder more often? For instance while a file is being updated its size changes every second - but finder seems only to update itself every 2-3 minutes or so.

Also when throwing a bunch of files here and there, finder will not refresh itself.

Is this an OS setting somewhere?

BTW - command line using "ls" works fine. It's just the finder

yes, I also need this function, since I often mount samba file system to mac,
then the smb file system has some new files or folders but I can't get the refreshed list, each time I create an empty file in the samba file system and delete it again.
