I've recently upgraded to OS X 10.8 and find some of the new features very annoying. One is the way applications quit when I close the last window, which is contrary to the behaviour I've been used to for the last 20 years.
Anyway, I often search for images in my hard drive and the results are presented as thumbnails in Finder. To check whether an image is the one I want, I doubleclick to open it, then use command+W to close it and maybe open another until I find the one I want.
With OS X 10.8, every time I close an image and doubleclick another, Preview quits and the Finder kind of flashes when opening the next image. I guess it's the Finder coming in and out of focus.
Is there any way to stop this?
