Started seeing an odd problem on a single computer at work a couple of days ago, and wondering if it's anything others have run across.
Symptoms are simple: A network volume is mounted, but suddenly the Finder starts acting as if the user doesn't have permissions to do ANYTHING to it--any open files show the little red minus icon, and trying to look at the contents of the volume in the finder gives a "no permissions" error.
It appears to just be the Finder, however--other applications continue to be able to save to the network volume and otherwise view it as they should be. The server also shows everything as completely normal with that connection.
If it was a one-time thing I'd ignore it, but the same thing has happened twice in as many days. The computer is a new-model iMac with an account brought over from a previous-gen C2D iMac (also on 10.4.10) but otherwise stock install. I've got to think it has something to do with the carried over account, but I can't think of what...
